Here are some of the photos from the weekend :) It was great fun, sadly my phone has died but as soon as I get a new one or get it fixed I will take some more photos :)
If you choose other, please comment and say which colour is your favorite :)
Went to Long Mountain Center again yesterday, it was great! I rode Rosie again and she was lovely, Laura rode Piglet this time. Scarlett rode Maisie on one of her first treks, she was very well behaved and loved it. I also included some pictures of Laura with Lottie because she really enjoyed riding her a few weeks ago and yesterday she plaited all her mane :)
About 3 weeks ago I decided to have a go at riding one of the new ponies, a tricoloured cob called Rosie. She was lovely, she is very forward going and safe but fun and safe too. I have rode Rosie 3 times now and cantered once, she has a very fast canter but its very smooth. I also jumped her last week and she was brilliant! :) Last weekend I also took my two friends Ella and Elizabeth riding with me, Ella rode Beauty, the black/dark bay cob and Elizabeth rode Dolly, the light skewbald cob with the long mane and feathers :) It was great!
Last month we went trekking at a riding school about an hour away from our house. It was great! I rode a piebald cob called Badger and Laura rode a 13hh bay gelding called Acky. We went for 2 gallops and loads of canters, it was great!
We went on holiday to Somerset in the summer holidays, it was great! Whilst we were there we were very lucky and we got to go riding on the Exmoor national park twice. I rode a dark skewbald 13.2hh cob called Tinker and Laura rode a 14hh chestnut gelding called Shane. After the ride we went for a walk along the moors with our dog and we got to walk along side 2 wild exmoor mares and their foals, it was a beautiful experience. :)
I know I haven't posted a blog in ages, I have just been so busy recently. But now I am going to try to post regularly, so since my last post there has been some changes at Long Mountain Center. There have been about 7 new ponies they are Lottie, Maisie, Magnus, Barney and Rosie. Here is a link to the new and updated list :) http://longmountainponies.weebly.com/meet-the-ponies.html
I have now fallen in love with Clown. He is a stunning skewbald 16hh 9 year old cob. He is very friendly but also is excitable and cheeky. He has a lovely canter although he does do a sort of buck thing but he is still perfect in every way to me :) x He likes to lean on me, he puts his head on my shoulder and sometimes he nearly knocks me over. He really his a big baby x Wanted to share these edits with you :) They are some of my first ones and are of me and my lucy lou and Laura (My little sister) and Piglet x
Well my birthday ride was very eventful :)
Shannon wanted to ride Gwynny which she did and Jackie warned us that she would be excited. So we went up the gallops and just as me and Lucy started cantering, Shannon and Gwynny came up beside us. Gwynny bucked about 10 times in a row and then even kept bucking when we were trotting, she was VERY excited to say the least. So Shannon swapped horses with another lady who was riding beauty, then we cantered again but this time the lady riding Gwynny fell off. But she got back on and we went galloping. Lucy was fine, Beauty got a bit excited but we just went for it, there was a fallen down branch which Lucy headed for and was going to jump, I pulled her to the side. It was great fun but eventful, most of my rides are :D The pictures are of Beauty (the black cob) and Lucy x |
